Beware the lamp post!

Good friend and Storyteller Ian Macdonald – he and his wife Irene wrote their very moving Recovery Story for this website – was amused by the hole in the path poem. However, he thought there should be another message, to which the title of this blog refers.

Deep hole in the path

‘I walk down the street,
There’s a deep hole in the path.  
I fall in.
I am lost…….I am helpless.
It isn’t my fault,
It takes forever to find a way out.

I walk down the same street,
There’s a deep hole in the path.
I pretend I don’t see it.
I fall in again.
I can’t believe I’m in the same place, but,
It isn’t my fault.
